The Citadel dates from Medieval times. Mohamud Ali transformed it in the 1830's. We visited two mosques, the Mohamud Ali Mosque shown on the left, and the older An Nasr Mosque shown below. I don't have an exterior shot of the An Nasr mosque, but I recall it as looking very much like the surrounding buildings from the street.
