Tracy, W. R. Designing training and development systems. New
York: American Management Association, Inc.
The ultimate test of any instructional system is the trainees'
ability to perform successfully on the job. The external evaluation
or follow-up of a training program is concerned with an evaluation
of the products of the training program. The external evaluation
collects data pertaining to the quality of the job performances
of the trainees. Tracey devotes a chapter to evaluating training
systems.
