To ensure an ever increasing level
of precision in estimating the true cost and duration of projects.
The collection of accurate work effort figures and the retention
of historical data at the end of projects allows for the production
of Estimation Guidelines that can be used in better estimating Proposals.
However as every project is different, these guidelines must be
verified against the realities of the particular aspects of the
production process needed to prepare the custom product that the
client wants.
Therefore estimation data is provided at both the end of a project
and at the beginning. There is an initial reality check at the proposal
stage and a more refined reality check at the project set-up phase.
All change is estimates must be communicated among the team to
allow for management and scope adjustment discussions with the client,
if justified.

Estimation Guidelines processes.
