You can do a lines-type puzzle or go to another temple and do a straight match-3 or do a "pop the group" type of match. Ancient Quest of Saqqarah Review - "Ancient Quest of Saqqarah is a Match 3 with variations - GREAT! For the gameplay, you're to rescue the world by fighting Seth. In order to fight you've to restore the statues of 7 egyptian gods. Each god has his own variation of the match-3 gameplay.
Swap to match: the most common variation seen in Big Kahuna Reef or 7 Wonders.
Rotate puzzle: you have to rotate fields to build matches
Chain match: select chains for matching; clicking away groups like Goldrush
Chain select: click an drag over groups to match; like Legend of El Dorado
Exchange puzzle: you need to rearrange the tokens so they highlight the whole board
Moving match: you start with a nearly empty board. where you have to move the tokens to match. Each move no match is done new tokens appear.
Replace match: your cursor holds a token. Replace it with one on the board for matches; like Caribbean Hideaway
You got 6 powerups which are updated by solving the bonus game up to 3 times each.
Each statue has 24 levels, but solving a whole statue gives access to a second difficulty for this statue.
Even more levels can be added by downloadable levelpacks.
For the 7 variations you'll need different tactics to solve. And the possibility to switch between the variations gives a refreshing

The difficulty is well balanced so that the levels aren't too tough but it's no mindless clicking either. I'd rate Ancient Quest of Saqqarah as average difficulty because the different tactics you'll need makes it harder.
