Garden Defense Review - "GREAT
Game... my only complaint would be that Garden Defense wasnt
long enough... I loved the garden and stuff you could buy I even
loved killing those dang bugs... the story was a bit odd, but
then again I'm a gamer - who the heck am I to judge... I just
flipped through the story after the first few times... But Garden
Defense is OUTSTANDING... make another... QUICKLY!!!" -

Garden Defense Review - "Garden Defense is a great take from the classic tower defense
games found in custom maps for Warcraft 3 and various other strategy
games. Garden Defense is brilliant - it takes a very complex type
of game and simplifies it down to a level
that almost
anyone would be able to understand and play without losing the
key elements. Basically, Garden Defense
gives you money to buy "towers" and upgrades which will
help prevent bugs from getting to a garden as they make their way
through a given path. It requires smart placement and choice of
your "towers", as well as fast decisions because you
can also move your "towers" in the middle of a wave even
after you have placed them. It is
great for people who want a challenge as well as people who like
a fast moving game. Myself, a experienced tower defense
player playing the game on the hardest difficulty am finding it
to be relatively challenging, while others
claims to have played the entire game within 2 hours. They must
really be a "towers" wizard, I think most people will find Garden
Defense challenging, interesting, and that it will give a fairly
long gameplay. And, of course, every time is different, so it has
replay value. If you have never played
anything like Garden Defense I recommend downloading it as it is
definitely worth trying." -
Tower Defender Garden Defense Review - "Sequel
better than the Original! Garden
Defense is one of the best strategy games I have played.
A little
over a year ago, there was a game called Master of Defense. You
setup defensive towers along a
trail and chose anti-air, anti-land, or air/land combo, but less
effective "plants" (With
the hidden power of poison!)
Garden Defense expands on the plants aspects of the game, you have
those hideous garden-gnomes--but these have GUNS! You also earn
plants,
which
attack faster, but
for less damage than their mechanical counterparts. You can even
hire bugs of your own, which go OUT along the same path the enemies
come IN on, they block and battle the enemy bugs!
Everytime you
kill enemies, you earn Skill Points, which you can use for global
upgrades, increasing damage, increasing range, decreasing
costs, etc. If you need
more Skill Points, beating Levels unlocks special "Challenges",
where you are pevented from using some part of your arsenal, or
there are no breaks between waves, etc. There are multiple difficulty
settings for each Level, and when you beat it at the hardest, it
says, "Victory against overwhelming odds", rather than
the smug, "Those little bugs were no match for you".
Much more gratifying!
The Garden Defense sound is
good, and appropriately cartoonish, with splats, boops, and bongs,
befitting a cartoon bug-battle (And
the explosions from
rocket-launcher gnomes once you earn them!).
The graphics are a cheerfully cartoonish take on 1980's lawn ornaments
gone military (Think of the SIMS lawn-gnomes), and MUCH improved
over Master of Defense! There are even cutscenes that look like
Flash movies from any of the various humor sites on the Internet.
Enjoyable, but this is one of the few games where the GAME has
better graphics than the CUTSCENES!
This is DEFINITELY one of the best strategy games I've seen."

Garden Defense Review - "I
LOVE THIS GAME! Garden Defense is an amazing little game. The
bugs are so cute and I just love the way the garden "dances".
I like the fact that you can choose your game speed (I still
prefer "normal" though). I was a bit shocked by the
peeing cupid, but he's kinda grown on me lol.
Anyway, to cut
a long story short, i love Garden Defense and have spent hours
playing so far ... i anticipate many more hours of game play
too."

Garden Defense Review - "Garden
Defense is one of the best games I have played since
The Great Tree. This game is similar to Master Of Defense. The main idea of this
game is to place garden defenses (gnomes, plants, flamingos, etc.)
to prevent bugs and pests from getting to your flowers. You may
think this is an easy task, well think again! Some bugs fly, some
crawl, some bugs are faster than others. It's total chaos out there! To
add to the excitement of Story Mode, there is a Challenge Mode
where you complete levels based on
certain rules, such as "Complete
this level using only Gnomes and nothing else" This creates
a fun diversion if you need a break from Story Mode. Overall
Garden Defense is great!
I would definitely recommend Garden Defense to any gamer."
