All of the interior scenes of Michael's house were done with FloorPlan 3D.
This program is normally used to design houses. We bought it to work on the book because it has a photo-realistic rendering ability.

"Rendering" means that the computer does all the detailed work of casting shadows and reflecting light, just as it would happen in nature.

Once the picture is rendered, we can save the final image as a bitmap file. A bitmap is a common image file type in Windows that can be used in almost any Windows graphics program.
