| Michael is a figure that
comes with Poser. We did very
little to alter his standard appearance, except for his
hair. His hair was selected from several styles
available. Poser models are developed by Zygote Media
Group Inc. We bought a rat
model from them to serve as "Nick", the packrat
in the story. Poser allows you to
"pose" a figure in any position you please. For
example, if you want a hand on a nose, you can select the
hand and drag it to the nose. However, Poser comes with
sets of pre-defined poses that can be useful as starting
points for some poses you have in mind.
You have complete control over color
and lighting, and you can also animate a figure. Actual
movement was not a concern with our book.
Once you are happy with a scene, you
can save it as a bitmap.
A solid color background makes it easy
to extract Micheal from the background and paste him into
the house scene. See the Adobe Photoshop 5 panel for more
on this.
