Simply 3D

Desk in Simply 3D shown in design page. The screwdriver, the film projector, the desk, and the loose spring were all created in Simply 3D. This program keeps it very simple indeed. It comes with a large number of 3D models and it is just a matter of dragging the model you want into the scene.

You can then position the model as you please and adjust the lighting to suit you. We had to keep in mind how the shadows were falling in the other parts of the scene created with other programs; but that was not very hard to do. They final scene can be saved as a bitmap. The backgrounds were made a solid color so that the model image could be easily extracted and pasted into another scene. See the Adobe Photoshop 5 panel for more about this.

We also used 3DFX and 3Space Publisher. They are very similar to Simply 3D in functionality, but they offer additional sets of models.
